Building tools for disability families means we have a responsibility to make them accessible. Here's where we stand.

Our commitment
Guiding Pathways Foundation is committed to making our website and apps accessible to as many people as possible, including people with disabilities. We build with real families in mind — many of whom use AAC devices, screen readers, switch access, and other assistive technologies. Accessibility is not an afterthought for us. It’s a core part of who our tools are for.
What we do
- Follow WCAG 2.1 Level AA guidelines as our baseline standard
- Use semantic HTML and ARIA attributes appropriately
- Ensure sufficient color contrast throughout our brand system
- Provide alt text on all meaningful images
- Support keyboard navigation across all interactive elements
- Design our apps for touch, mouse, keyboard, and assistive technology use
- Test with screen readers before major releases
- Use clear, plain language that avoids unnecessary jargon
Where we’re still working
Accessibility is ongoing, not one-and-done. We know some areas of our site and apps still need work. If you find something that isn’t working for you or your family, please tell us — that feedback is one of the most valuable things anyone can send.
How to report an issue
Email hello@guidingpathways.help with as much detail as you can share — what page, what device, what assistive technology you’re using, and what happened. We aim to acknowledge accessibility reports within 48 hours and prioritize fixes based on impact.
Third-party content
Some of our content includes links to state agency websites, provider directories, and other third-party resources. We can’t guarantee the accessibility of those external sites, but we welcome reports so we can flag issues with those partners.
Our standard
We are working toward full conformance with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA. This is the standard used by most nonprofits and government agencies to ensure their websites are accessible to people with disabilities.
